Plenty of contractors say "fully insured." Few tell you what that means. Here is exactly what stands behind every floor we install.
We are a licensed business carrying commercial general liability insurance. That covers damage to your property that results from our work. Certificates of insurance are available on request before work begins, and commercial clients can be named as additional insured.
Every person on our crew is covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. In Ontario, if an uninsured worker is injured on your property, the property owner or hiring contractor can end up exposed.
For general contractors and property managers, this matters even more. We can supply a current WSIB clearance certificate so you are not liable for unpaid premiums.
For two years after we finish, we will return and fix any problem caused by our installation at no charge. That includes seams that open, boards that lift or squeak because of a fastening fault, hollow or loose tile, and transitions that come loose.
To make a claim, call or email us with photos and the job address. We book an inspection, and if the problem is our workmanship, we repair it.
The warranty does not cover manufacturing defects in the product, which fall under the manufacturer's own warranty. It also excludes water damage, pet damage, impact, and problems caused by indoor humidity kept outside the product's stated range.
We install sixteen types of flooring, but we won't pretend we are equally strong at all of them. Hardwood and tile are where most of our experience sits.
Both materials are unforgiving. Hardwood laid at the wrong moisture content gaps in winter and cups in summer, and tile set on a subfloor that flexes will crack its grout within a year.

Every quote we write is itemised. Removal, disposal, subfloor prep, materials, installation, transitions, trim and stairs are listed as separate lines so you can see where the money goes.
We price labour by the square foot for open areas and per step for stairs. Pattern work, heavy subfloor repair and after-hours commercial work cost more, and we say so upfront.
